C3 Our Mangroves Our Future Video Pt1 One of our first educational projects involved the production of a 20-minute educational video on mangrove conservation issues in Palau. C3 collected footage of mangrove forests around Palau and was kindly donated footage from other researchers and film-makers. We collaborated with Roll'em Productions, a Palau-based film production company and Belau Cares Inc., to produce 'Our Mangroves, Our Future' which is repeatedly shown on local television stations and has been distributed to the Ministry of Education and other environmental organizations in Palau. The film was narrated by a Palau High School student who is interested in environmental and community affairs. This is the first video on mangroves in Palau and is a valuable means of conveying information to people about the value of mangrove forests and the need for sustainable use and management in the future. It is particularly timely as The Bureau of Agriculture and Forestry is conducting community consultations throughout 2004 in order to assist each State in preparing its own Mangrove Management Plan. Barcelona, 19 Abril, 2007 Fripp and his League of Crafty Guitarists ending their show in the fantastic Palau de la Música Catalana modernista building, on April 19, 2007. This was the only King Crimson piece they did ("Vrooom" if I'm not mistaken) and it sounded quite good. The quality of the video is quite bad as the security people in the Palau would be constantly on us (Fripp doesn't want any pics, you know...) but still you can hear the music! Mandarinfish Mandarinfish in Palau. Mandarinfish are one of the most beautiful fish in all the world, yet a scuba diver is unlikely to ever see one. They are quite shy and one must travel to places know to have them to even have a chance to see one. Mating mandarinfish are one the most prized shots in all of underwater photography. Palau has one of the worls's great locations for mandarinfish. The site is called mandarinfish lake, and it's a protected saltwater cove that gets no deeper than 25 feet.
