Civil war in Yugoslavia The breaking of Yugoslavia off course was not good especially with the way that happened. The Slavic Nations of Serbs, Croats, Slovens and the other minorities of that country, together had a strong state that used to be prosperous. Now divided and week, these thine states that created (Serbia,Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Fyrom) are not in position to practice an autonomous policy and they have all found another central of power to submit as the United states of America. The worst of all is that for a first time after the world war II, Americans attacked to a European country (Yugoslavia), destroyed its infrastructure and they imposed their will by force creating these thine states-protectorates of the United States. Serbian Nation, a Nation with a distinguished tradition of fight for the ideals of Europe against the Turks during the middle ages, a Nation that fought the Germans as an Alie of America, Russia and England received such a reward. Destroyed by bombing of American air force and chopped into little pieces loosing the Serbo-Bosnian territories and Kraina. The western countries have also helped Montenegro to abandon the New Yugoslavia in order to undermine Serbia more. The most outrageous thing is the situation they imposed in Kossovo, the heart of the Serbian Nation, that they surrender to the Albanian ex-immigrants that went there some decades ago, they were multiplied and when they became the majority and with American and their allies attack managed to throw away most of the last remaining native Serbian population. These hostile actions will never be forgoten by the Serbian Nation and its relative Russian Nation, other Slavic Nations and Greece that is a Nation that has a traditional alliance and friendship with Serbs. Further more, they encourage Fyrom-Vardaska, a former Yugoslavic republic to claim the ancient name of Macedonia which is a historical region of Greece for more than 3.000 years! Fyrom claims the name, symbols such as the Greek symbol of Vergina, ancient leaders as Philip and Alexander the great and the whole territory of Macedonia in northern Greece preparing the next war in the Balkan peninsula! Noam Chomsky About Serbia, Kosovo, Yugoslavia and NATO War 2 On the NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia Noam Chomsky interviewed by Danilo Mandic RTS Online, April 25, 2006 NOAM CHOMSKY, world-renowned linguist, political analyst, philosopher and activist, has been called "arguably the most important intellectual alive" by the New York Times. Recently, in a British magazine poll, he has been voted by a landslide as the top public intellectual in the world today. According to the Arts and Humanities Citation Index, between 1980 and 1992 Chomsky was cited as a source more often than any other living scholar, and remains the eighth most cited scholar ever. A professor at MIT, he is the author of more than 80 books, including The New Military Humanism: Lessons From Kosovo. His most recent book is Failed States: The Abuse of Power and the Assault on Democracy. Danilo Mandic: Professor Noam Chomsky, in your, if I am not mistaken, first TV media appearance for Serbian media, thank you very much for being with us. Noam Chomsky: I am glad to be with you. Danilo Mandic: Last month marked the seventh anniversary of the beginning of the bombing of Yugoslavia. Why did NATO wage that war or I should say why did the United States wage that war?
