Something WICKED PALIN Comes ... John McCain's Dark Carnival (Yes, that is Witch Hunter Muthee behind Sarah Palin.) When John McCain claimed to be bringing change to Washington suddenly in the last month, we had no idea it was change along the line of one Sarah Palin. She has become the poster child for all that is wrong with politics in America - yet she is being touted as the solution to all our ills. Further to the far right than even John McCain, she is running from an investigation into abuse of power which she initially said she would be open too, she suspects the Iraq War is about oil, but plays the McCain line of 'it's about terror' instead, she boasts she is from the richest state in America but claims to have experience to handle an America in decline - the list goes on and on. John McCain, in letting party insiders on the religious far right of the spectrum, has chosen his own fate. One cannot lead this country, our America, from a lopsided view of the world - especially one that touts women's rights as inferior to men's rights, one that pretends to be individualistic, but tells you what you can do with your own body, and one that claims to be fiscally conservative, but spends like, to quote John himself, a drunken sailor. What is wrong with the picture? It is a Republican administration that as ruined our country in the last 8 years and a glossed-over repeat of the Republican policies that got us here is not going to take us anywhere but further down the well. We have sunk enough - it is time to rise this country upwards, not DEFEAT IT into the ground. And of course one more thing - do you want to sit and listen to John McCain speak from his bully pulpit for 8 years and then another 8 years of that whiney nasal geek-grandaughter of his - I don't think that does ANYone any good, both in pride in America and in feeling a part of something bigger than yourself. Batman: The Dark Knight - "Why So Serious?!" As a follow up to last year's blockbuster Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan is set to direct Warner Bros. Pictures' The Dark Knight, written by Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan. Additionally, Christian Bale will resume his role as Bruce Wayne and Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has been cast as The Joker. The announcements were made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. Christopher Nolan revamped the Batman franchise in 2005 with the immensely successful Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale in the title role, which chronicled the early years of the superhero. Nolan first garnered attention from critics and fans in 2000 with the groundbreaking drama Memento, which he wrote and directed. He went on to direct the thriller Insomnia, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams, and recently wrapped production on The Prestige, with Hugh Jackman and Bale. Bale was most recently seen in the ensemble cast of Terrence Malick's The New World. His other credits include Little Women, Portrait of a Lady, Metroland, American Psycho, Laurel Canyon and Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, which was his first starring role. Ledger most recently earned Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG Award nominations and won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ennis Del Mar in the award-winning drama Brokeback Mountain. His other credits include Casanova, Monster's Ball, Lords of Dogtown, The Brothers Grimm and The Patriot. The Dark Knight Trailer Spoof Please Read To set the record straight about the last line in the spoof, it is not at all related about Heath Ledger, that never even crossed our minds until it was mentioned in the comments, we just thought the line was funny and could be related to heros in superhero movies. We would not make fun of a man who created the coolest and scariest villain to hit the movie screen in years. Give Heath Ledger the Oscar!! The trailer took a couple months of planning, finding locations and time to make the costumes, it took 3 weeks to film/edit the movie. We made this video just for fun because we are all very very excited about the real Dark Knight Movie and couldnt wait any longer to see it so we decided to make our own. There are real shots of Chicago in here, but all main scenes where filmed in the suburbs around the city. The deck of cards is a "Hooters" pack, so there is no nudity on them lol the blurry video makes it seem that way though and the music is all from the "Batman Begins" soundtrack For everyone wondering about the joker costume...we made the entire thing from scratch, alot of looking for the right colored fabrics and finding patterns that matched his clothing...it took a while to make, and the dress shirt we made a stencil of hexagons and drew them in. The Academy Award nominated actor was 28. "Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed," police spokesman Paul Browne told CNN. "This is being looked at as a possible overdose, but that is not confirmed yet." The pills appeared to be over-the-counter sleeping medication, said police spokeswoman Barbara Chen. Ledger was unresponsive when he was found by a housekeeper who had gone to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse in the Soho apartment, Browne said. The apartment is owned by the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, The New York Times reported. Ledger was declared dead at about 3:30 p.m., Browne said. In 2005, the actor played Ennis Del Mar in "Brokeback Mountain," about two cowboys who had a secret relationship. The role earned him the Oscar nomination. Ledger was born in Perth, Australia. He has a young daughter with actress Michelle Williams, his co-star in "Brokeback Mountain." "He was just so respected in the industry," said Kim Serafin, senior editor of In Touch Weekly. "It's just horribly tragic. He was just a fine actor and a good person, so this is horribly sad and very unexpected." Ledger was always focused on his career, Serafin said. Some of his other film credits also include "A Knight's Tale" in 2001 and "The Four Feathers" in 2002.
