SlayerS_`BoxeR` vs By.Flash @ Proleague ACE (Airforce Challenge E-Sports) vs KTF MagicN's @ ShinHan ProLeague, June 10th 2007 Game1: ACE 0-1 KTF (By.Flash beat Clon) Game2: ACE 1-1 KTF (Boxer beat Nal_Ra) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ2zcDan0GM 2 vs 2 : ACE 2-1 KTF Game4: ACE 2-2 KTF (Hery beat Sunny) Ace Match: By.Flash vs SlayerS_`BoxeR` @ Python Flash plays yellow, Boxer plays red. Klazart's commentary version of this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7ptEQZrDj4 SPOILER ahead, winner interview: * ** *** **** ***** ****** ******* ******** ******* ****** ***** **** *** ** * * * BoxeR interview translated by infinity21, thanks! :-) Q: You won 2 games in one day. How long has it been. A: Winning two games is a story of a distant past that I can barely remember it. I did win two games today but for the team, it is not desirable. Dividing up the task and winning 1 game each for the victory produces more synergy effect. In the game against Lee Young-Ho (By.Flash), I played because my teammates pushed me forward but I would like to spread out the wins. Q: In the game against Kang Min (Nal_rA), you tried a risky cheese rush. A: I had prepared a lot. It is a strategy that went through many trials and verifications. Even if my opponent didn't double Nexus, I was going to pump bionic units from 2 barracks and then perform a cheese rush. In the case of double Nexus, my win percentage was 6~70%. Since it was Kang Min, I had predicted a 50% chance of winning but since he did a double Nexus, I think I won more easily. Q: You and Lee Young-Ho have the same zodiac sign -- monkey (Boxer and Flash are both born in the year of the monkey, then it means Boxer is 12 years older than Flash) A: It seems like time passes by fast. When older players lose to young players, the shock is greater than losing to other people. I cannot erase the feeling that I am being forgotten faster. So I clenched my teeth during the game today. I don't want to be forgotten. Q: Lee Young-Ho's recent force is very good. A: I heard that he is good but since I've never faced him, I played the game confidently. Players like Lee Young-Ho who have not played many official games are a burden to play because you don't know what their pattern is. So I do not want to lose to young players or players who have just had their debut. Once you get behind in relative records, it has a negative effect on the life of the player in the future. It gives off a feeling like you are being robbed more so than losing to other players. Losing to Kang Min is better than losing to Lee Young-Ho (laughs). Q: There was a time of danger (during the game). A: Not long after taking the expansion at 11, it was destroyed so if things kept going this way I thought I will lose. I don't know how I won. Before I know it, I thought "am I ahead?". I focused on not losing the initiative. Once Dropships accumulate, it is important to not lose in the battle over the initiative. That is why I found the 9 o'clock expansions late. I had focused on the enemy movement paths and openings. Actually, I could not remember where my Engineering Bay was (laughs). Q: When did you think that you won. A: I thought I was ahead at the end when I took over the factories. But unexpectedly, a lot of units came out, and 11 and 1 o'clock were damaged. As I blocked the mass Tanks at 11 o'clock, I thought I won. Q: You stopped your 8 game losing streak in TvT. A: Airforce ACE players go through training for 2~3 months. During those times, it is difficult to stay up-to-date with popular strategies and game management styles. It's not just TvT -- the trends for TvZ and TvP have changed a lot. Even I feel it, so how can other players not feel it. We need time to close this gap. Q: Jeong Chul-Ha coach will step down with the end of today's game. A: As the first coach, he led us well, and with this as the stepping stone, we will show the ACE team win game after game. For the younger players that will be joining the army, I will prepare a better environment and abilities in order to be a good senior. Q: If you have anything to say to Lee Young-Ho A: His early game management was so good that I was very shaken. If Lee Young-Ho gains more experience by playing important games, he will grow to be an excellent player. Q: A word to your fans. A: I was also thirsty for victory. You (the fans) probably wanted to see me win more than I did myself. Rather than being up and down, I want to show more consistency. The initial league is a league to solidify the foundation for Airforce ACE, and starting with the latter league, I want to show a completely different team. MBC Game HERO vs STX SouL @ Shinhan Proleague [Bo5 Set] April 17, 2007 Shinhan Bank Proleague 2007 Round 1 - Best of 5 MBC Game HERO vs STX SouL Here we are once again in the Proleague! What happened to SKY Proleague? Many of you already know, but for those who do not, the Proleague this year is sponsored by none other than Shinhan Bank, who has been sponsoring the past several OSLs along with the Shinhan Masters. So same tournament, new sponsor. Anywho this matchup occurs in the Round 1, where each team must play every other team twice in a round-robin format. Each matchup in Round 1 is played it a Bo5 sets, where every game is 1v1 but the 3rd game is 2v2. A player may only be used for one 1v1 match, but if the score is 2-2 and there is an Ace Match (Tiebreaker), any player can be used again. I uploaded the whole set into one video to prevent any spoiling. ________________________________________ Game 1: Sea(T-MBC) vs Kal(P-STX) @ Python Game 2: Shark(Z-MBC) vs TheSTC[GnH](T-STX) @ Sin Peaks of Baekdu Game 3: 910[Ete](white-T-MBC) / TheZerg(red-Z-MBC) vs Child(teal-Z-STX) / Hwasin(orange-T-STX) @ DMZ Game 4: July[z-zone](Z-MBC) vs Ever)T(Sheis(T-STX) @ Monty Hall Ace Match: Bisu[Shield](P-MBC) vs InteR.Calm(Z-STX) @ Tau Cross Tags: Starcraft Broodwar Shinhan Bank Proleague MBC Game HERO STX SouL Terran Zerg Protoss |

FirebatHero vs UpMagiC @ Proleague eSTRO vs Samsung Khan @ Proleague, July 2nd Game2: FirebatHero vs UpMagiC @ Nemesis Khan is ranked 1st with a huge lead over the other teams, solid record with the two hottest players around: Stork and FirebatHero, plus an amazing 2vs2 lineup. Stork and FirebatHero, those two just won't lose! Up to the point that they now have to face each other on the upcoming MSL Semi-Finals. And the winner will play against Bisu in the MSL finals. Khan sent Stork and FirebatHero in games1&2 on this Proleague matchup, TvT and PvP, I would have liked to see a TvP and PvT, just so they can play some kind of twisted mind games with each other just before the semis :-) but mirror matches will do just fine. Though we already know FBH's TvT is godlike, his recent comeback from 0-1 to 2-1 over iloveOov says it all, and Stork's PvP is just as godlike, his recent comeback from 0-1 to 2-1 over Reach. eStro in return, throws the two best players in thier lineup, Tester and UpMagic, to face those two monsters. Will it be enough? UpMagiC plays purple, FBH plays red. Tags: Starcraft Broodwar Proleague FirebatHero UpMagiC FBH Sea.Up braQ ShinHan Khan eStro |

Jaedong vs Light[aLive] @ Proleague Playoff Shinhan Proleague R1 Playoff, July 28th 2007 Lecaf Oz vs MBCGame Hero, Game4 Light[aLive] vs n.Die_Jaedong @ Tau Cross Light plays terran, Jaedong plays zerg. Game1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jajX5GD_PiM Game2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oMO3-Z0RSI Game5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jmZMYZ1lbA Carnac's pre-game thoughts on Game4, written for teamliquid.net: "Jaedong and Light have already played each other once during this Proleague season and Light won, but that game was played on Monty Hall - back when it was considered an absolute graveyard in ZvT, because Silver hadn't come up with his infamous build for it yet, so this is not really going to help us. More importantly Jaedong's Proleague record features an impressive 15-7 (7-5 ZvT). Also he is undefeated on Tau Cross during his entire career (7-0, 3 of those vs Terran)! Light on the other hand is only 5-3 in Proleague and his all time record on Tau Cross is 4-4. Tau Cross is almost perfectly balanced in ZvT (18-20), combined with the other stats speaking for Jaedong he should have the edge here, even though Light is anything but a pushover." Some more from Carnac's great preview: (you can read it all here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=57033 ) "Last weekend, just one day before we got to see a Hanbit player (GGPlay) win a Starleague after so many years, the post season of the first round in this year's edition of the Proleague, we saw MBCGame Hero coming back from a 0-2 score to tear apart STX Soul with 4-2. This week's match between Lecaf OZ and MBCGame HERO will determine who gets to play vs Samsung KHAN in the finals and it is a very interesting match, because it basically is a rematch of last season's (SKY Proleague 2006 Round 2) playoffs during which MBCGame HERO beat Lecaf OZ with 4-3 and then went on to win the whole thing." "The teams aren't fooling around here (they would be stupid to do so in playoffs): Lecaf are sending out their standard line-up (plus Backho, since they need an additional 1v1 player) and MBC decided to let the exact same players play as last week (with some shuffling around on the maps, since they are not the same as last week). It is a well established fact that MBCGame's lineup has more depth than Lecaf's, which can be a huge advantage when you have to play best of 7 instead of best of 5 (like during the regular season) and even though I think MBCGame HERO has the advantage in this match the pairings really aren't too bad for Lecaf. Jaedong's game, both 2v2s and the game between Anytime and Bisu are all games that Lecaf could win." Enjoy!
