Carol Riddick Carol Riddick began her career performing with local bands in Philadelphia. It was after her performance at a wedding that she met James Lassiter who managed Jeff Townes and Will Smith a/k/a "Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince". That introduction led to studio session work at Jeff Townes' production company, "A Touch of Jazz, Inc.". She began to tour with the duo, and was the featured vocalist at the wedding of Will Smith.
