GH3 - Through the Fire and Flames (Expert) - 100% (Bot) A bot getting 100% (FC) on Through the Fire and Flames with a final score of 983,802. So there the FC everyone's been looking for. The star power path may not have been perfect but it was at the very least decent. As you can see the bot is also able to use the whammy bar to help maximize it's score. For those that don't know, a bot (short for robot) is a device/program that will automatically play Guitar Hero based on how it was programmed. This bot was made by modifying an Xbox 360 controller and wiring it up to a microcontroller. FAQs: Q: How long did it take to build this and get it working? A: I had something functional (see last video) in around 1 week. To get this fully working, it took around 2 months of working on it on and off. Q: What system is this for? A: This is for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero 3 (although untested, it will most likely work for GH1 and GH2 also) Q: Do you play on Xbox Live? A: I have an Xbox Live account however I have NO plans on taking this bot on there just for the sake of cheating the high scores. Q: Why would you build this to cheat? A: The challenge of this project was making a Guitar Hero playing robot, which I assure you was anything but easy. 100% FULL COMBO - The Perfect Drug - Expert Drums Not-so-impossible... 239,575 (1,893 Note Streak) The very first Expert drums FC of The Perfect Drug. It's listed under the "Impossible" tier as the second most difficult song in the game. This is probably the most complex drum chart I've seen to date. It throws everything at you but the kitchen sink. And the "window" of time given to play each note is very minuscule, meaning if I decided to loosen up my "feel" just a little...I'd instantly start missing notes. There is a lot of diversity from one section to the next, but it makes it fun to play. I really like the syncopation at 1:29, but I usually have to hold my breath all the way through. Some of the note patterns begin on the second 16th note...so you basically have to be the master of space and time, lol. I also love the sequence at 3:33. It has some pretty neat drum n' bass parts that you almost never see in acoustic music. Won't Get Fooled Again (Rock Band Expert Drums 5 Stars) read this first please: people are asking me the same questions over and over, so reading this should help answer a lot of the generic ones. Still, I appreciate the comments/views and stuff, don't get me wrong. Check out the rest of my videos if you want to. I do music videos for a part-time-professional job, so that's what most of my work on here is. So i've still got my 8th drumset; after this batch of videos, it's unfortunately taken a turn for the worse, but before it did I got this video of Won't Get Fooled Again. Also, you might notice that my pedal has a metal covering: i'm using the "Mega Pedal" metal plate from www.megapedal.com : it adds weight to the pedal which makes it easier to use, and it hugely increases the stability of the stock RB pedal. You might want to hold out for thier full-pedal conversion instead of just a plate, though. So, yeah, it's not a gold star. The Gold Star cutoff for this song is around 378,000 if I remember: still, the score in this video is 5th place for this song on the Xboxlive leaderboards. I actually screwed up on a lot of stuff I don't normally screw up on, and I nailed a lot of stuff I don't normally nail, so I guess it was an even tradeoff. (my gamertag = sskitzzo) And yes, I play drums in real life, have been for 4+ years, so the people going on about "play a real instrument", no, sorry, I do play real drums. FINALLY, my grip is fine for playing this game; play on this set before you say that, playing on this set is NOTHING like playing on a real drumset in terms of size, height, feel, movements needed, or anything else. Not trying to be a dick with all this, just informing people so they don't keep on saying the same stuff, haha, but don't get me wrong, I appreciate the comments. Mario Kart Wii - Expert Shortcuts This is a compilation of the more superior shortcuts. It requires a high consistent of patience and aim. Shortcut difficulty: 1. Mushroom Gorge 7/10 - Get to a certain position like I did on the video, and boost just before you hit the off-road. Now before you go off the edge, quickly press jump while turning left. 2. Toad's Factory 6/10 - Drift slightly to the right before hitting the bump and quickly do a trick. Try not to drift too much or you'll crash into the water. 3. Grumble Volcano 9/10 - Make sure to angle your vehicle until you can see the gap clearly. You need to be careful not to hit the mountain while approaching it. Extremely risky but worth it. An even better alternative: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=joMbFFk6WZ8 4. GBA Bowser Castle 3 10/10 - The hardest of the bunch. Why? Because it comes down to luck when trying to get into a certain position, and anybody could possibly crash into you. Anyway, the best way to do it is to boost towards the upper-left ramp. Very rewarding if succeeded. 5. N64 Bowser's Castle 5/10 - Make sure to line your vehicle towards the narrow platform. It would be best not to go too far on the right in case you fall into the lava. A few people have been asking me to do a video where I actually have the sounds of what i'm hearing when I play for the entire video, as opposed to just small segments of the video, so here it is. In Bloom was something some people wanted to see too, so two birds with one stone. The audio may seem slightly off sync with the notes, dunno why, but it does to me at least. Maybe it's because I play more to the song's rhythm than the actual notes, if you get what I mean? Yeah, it's not a full combo or even 100%, I screwed up the bass hit, but i've FC'ed it before so no big deal. The pads are shaking so much because of the sock mod: i'm not hitting them all that hard. Yeah, I got bored and acted stupid at around 2:40 lol I know you can barely see the red drum; seriously, this sucks, I know, I didn't notice it until I was done filming, but I don't think it'll completely kill the video. I really like the flow of this song, not musically, but in terms of the note-chart. There is not a specific tutorial on this SITE, you need to combine basic techniques that this site will teach you to learn how to do that. And yes, I play drums in real life, have been for 4+ years, so the people going on about "play a real instrument", no, sorry, I do play real drums. FINALLY, my grip is fine for playing this game; play on this set before you say that, playing on this set is NOTHING like playing on a real drumset in terms of size, height, feel, movements needed, or anything else.
