On the Hispanic or Latino Race For many years has the American Government encouraged the use of a non-existent racial category: The "Hispanic" Race. This is fallacious and has no basis in Anthropology, the science that studies race. Currently, there are two meanings ascribed to this label. Linguistic (or cultural), and racial. But they are used interchangeably, creating confusion as to the term's actual meaning. On Official Surveys such as employment applications, however, the term appears to be used in a strictly racial light. Appearing along non-cultural categories like White/Caucasian, Black/African American and Native American/Hawaiian Native and Eskimo. Even more confusing was the relatively recent addition of the "Non-Hispanic" specifier to current racial categories. For example: White/Caucasian is now White/Caucasian (Non-Hispanic). This latest change reinforces the idea that Hispanic must be a race. Since the addition of the Non-Hispanic specifier, there is no way for an individual who speaks Spanish to self-identify as White, Black or Amerindian. But is Hispanic a RACE?? Let us review the denotation for "race" The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines Race as a: "Category of humankind that shares certain distinctive PHYSICAL TRAITS" Being that race is a BIOLOGICAL CONCEPT, we cannot decide an individual's race based on language or culture! There are no "distinctive physical characteristics" that apply to all Spanish Speakers. Spanish Speakers are not racially homogeneous. THEN WHY DOES MY FRIEND FROM MEXICO LOOK SO MUCH LIKE MY FRIEND FROM ECUADOR? I will explain this as briefly as possible. THERE ARE ONLY 4 SCIENTIFICALLY RECOGNIZED RACES IN HUMANITY: 1- Caucasoid. 2- Negroid. 3- Mongoloid. 4- Australoid. We all belong to one of these. But there are many subtypes. Subtypes within the "Caucasoid Race" include: Mediterranid, Nordid and Orientalid. These are just a few. The "Mongoloid Race" has many subtypes as well. East Asian, being one of them. And Indianid (or Amerindian) being another one. Amerindians from the U.S. or from South America, are considered "Mongoloid". They are relatively Homogeneous because this is a RACE, unlike Hispanic. Countries like Mexico and Ecuador are predominantly populated by Amerindian peoples. But they are not the only ones. Nearly all Continental Central America, and a large part of South America have an "AMERINDIAN MAJORITY". This is the reason why many people believe that "Hispanics" are homogeneous: THEY ARE SIMPLY OBSERVING SHARED PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS BETWEEN AMERINDIANS. However, just like English speakers, Spanish speakers can be Black, especially in the Caribbean. For example, Dominican Republic. And just like English speakers, they can be White. Especially in countries like Argentina, Chile and Brazil, where many Europeans emigrated during World War II, as well as after the fall of the Soviet Union. The addition of the "Hispanic" Race to official surveys is a scientific travesty. Irascible Hispanic Truck Driver Attacks Bystander A sunny friday afternoon in August, ethnic restaurant: Diesel Lobster-Loader's loud horn heard for duration of over 10 seconds. Apparently driver is not interested in waiting patiently for other van still engaged in delivery to finish and leave. Nor is he willing to get out and walk over to dock to inquire... Moments pass. Another honk of greater length pierces peaceful suburban air. A walk in sight of driver and shout from distance is made: "HEY!" with arms in carrying-bushel-of-straw position, body language being "is that acceptable here? is this the South Side? what's the idea??" Air-conditioned immigrant listening to 105.1 FM Chicago "ciento cinco punto unooooo" cranks down window and shouts "Fock you, muddorFUCKor!" Volume level audible by adjacent residential neighborhood...hot summer day, houses windows down. High likelihood children heard the profanity. At that a call to 911 was placed: [woman] "Skokie Police Emergency..." Not an emergency. Just reporting a disturbance... a truck driver is incessantly honking his horn at a restaurant's loading dock. "Uh-huh..." Yeah well he's LEANING on his horn for a long time and .... he's shouting profanity. "Ok where is this?" Zhivago restaurant parking lot. "Where?" Zhivago Restaurant? On... "Oh on Gross Point Road?" Right. [yeah, you know...where every friday and saturday nights drunk Poles stumble out at 3am laughing, shouting, arguing, vomiting, and then driving home? Pierogi Puke Palace. Yeah that place.] "Ok I'll send a unit over." Appreciate it. About 10 min pass. No police. A return is made to photo the license plate before truck leaves: Illinois "94 823 H". As coincidence would have it, photo was taken just as truck's first gear was engaged. Taco Stuffer sees camera, squeaks brakes, opens door, grabs golf club resting on dashboard, slides it out and starts swinging, shouting profanities - some understandable, some in other language(s). Because consumer cameras take a moment to ready their circuitry after switching modes from camera to movie, the record button was pressed too hastily and the camera didn't register. So unfortunately about the first 60% of this went unrecorded. But it's still possible to see the part where his club made contact with videographer at the very beginning. The footage you are watching is from the point where it was realized the camera is still in standby when immediately the button was pressed again. *** Smoke cleared. Squad car did drive by, but the officer appeared oblivious, like he was not even aware of the call. He drove past looking forward, without even turning his head or slowing vehicle....looked like he was either off duty, or maybe just finishing his shift. Police seldom care about cat-in-the-tree problems anyway because they can't write tickets or make arrests. (read, 'can't make any money'). And besides, most Burrito Breaths don't have bank accounts, driver's licenses, insurance, or even a social security # - too much the hassle for quota-seeking, non-Spanish-speaking police. For those living in other parts of the world, take note that situations like this happen every day in bigger cities like Chicago: immigrant/minority blows top, goes nuts, few police/people notice or care, ...then caucasian gets in hot water for reporting because of screwy modern-day American "equality" laws ('you discriminating, racist, xenophobe' and so on...) What that first "missed footage" would have showed included the passenger. Also latino, early 20s, Puerto Rican gang-member-just-got-out-of-prison tattoos running all down his forearms. He was snickering & smiling the entire time. +++ People wanted to know what was done to piss off the Tequila Pisser. Truthfully it was just "hey" and then atomic piñata explodes. Asked people what to do. Many answers: "call the cops" (did), "talk to the restaurant" (manager 'too busy' to appear), "find the trucking company" (no name/phone on truck), "call immigration and have his ass deported" (how?), and finally the most popular answer "put it on YouTube!"
