Pokemon Yellow - e4 skip using coord offsets There are several ways to skip the e4, this is not the fastest, but still cool, and can be replicated anytime. First, you must do the zzazz glitch, that one is not safe. But assuming you did it and your inventory got glitched... Your item menu should now give you access to several addresses in memory that are used for other variables, not items. Several are not safe to touch, at least not knowing what the address does. D35D is an address that contains the target location. In other words what area you should spawn at (city, route, etc), it can be used to teleport straight to hall of fame. In the video it shows as HM03/04/05 (changes depending on area), its the one above the item I will be selecting the most. The quantity value (since it is an "HM" it doesnt show) represents your x coordinates (tile, columns) in the area you are in. D360 is the next item, the item represents the Y coordinate (rows), the quantity will be 0 if your _X_ coordinate is even, or 1 if its odd, yes X. The next item marks the same 0-1 value but for the _Y_ coordinate. Its quantity has something to do with palettes. These 0-1 values are something like npc offsets. The thing is if you modify this value, you will be able to desynch the visuals from the collision maps. You will usually increase the value (unless going from 1 to 0). When you increase the x offset you will be able to walk left to skip obstacles. When you walk left the offset will be reduced one by one going back to 0-1 someday. If you go right it will increase forever, and you will crash when you get to the end of the map, which will be before you get to 255. Same goes for Y, you may go up, dont go down. When the value is greater than it should be dont confuse, all the time you are standing in the same spot even if it looks like you jumped. And as such the "void" has not moved, dont get there or youll crash. The collisions and npcs move though, so dont expect the walls to save you from the void. Doors and triggers do not move. Victory road is a vertical map and the elite four has doors north so I play with the Y offset. First I find the "item" I will use, I move side to side and up and down so you see how the x offset changes from 0 to 1, and the item (y offset) from item 0 to item 1 (masterball). Since I am moving also the coordinates change, the great ball turns into other items, thats Y coordinate. You cant see the X coordinate because the HM doesnt display its quantity, but its there. So now, I first place myself outside the badge check trigger, and at a spot that has y offset 0. Why? because if y offset is 1, the qty will be 1, and if I toss 1 it will dissapear, and the game will move all other items up one spot and the variables wont like their new values and the game will crash. If it shows 0 however, it works as if 256, so I can toss 255 and change that 0 to 1. With this I desynch the coordinates 1 unit, enough to slip behind the trigger and still be able to enter the door (without touching the void). When crossing the door keep up pressed. I have it so the other guards wont check my badges, so they dont bother. Remember to bring your badges (or play with the badges address, its available from the menu). Once I am past the guards its time to enter the long tedious cave, except we can just offset by a larger value and skip it! Since you actually arent moving you have to make it to the trigger that changes your route to indigo plateau. If you dont offset enough you will end up in the same place you started. There are two places you may start at and do it completely on foot (bring fly if you plan to end stuck for not using these spots). The good one has a pokedex as item :/, so you cant toss it and move the offset... The other one has a moon stone so its good, problem is that it is on a patch of grass so you will be bothered by the wild pkmn all the way up to indigo. Throw all but 46 moon stones to be able to make it. Now lets skip the elite four. Again find a spot that has y offset 0 so you can toss items safely. Since the void is right there and the obstacle is 1 unit wide anyway, offset by 1 and start skipping them. Lance's trigger covers the way, and to get past him from the side (like boulderbadge) you have to offset by two, but you will crash when you touch the void. First find a spot with offset 0. Then move lance out of the way or you move out of his. Changing x offset which is 1 (master ball), I switch it with the town map (x coordinate), since i am putting 1 into x it means I am no longer where I seem to be but actually am to the left, at x=1. I throw masterballs until I am left with 1 (y offsett 1) so that I can have room to walk forward (at coord 1 theres a wall to the north). Then I move past lance. And switch the items back to bring me to the same column I was at. Visually, that brings back lance to his place (he never moved, it was me the one teleporting). Some of these offsets are used to reduce the cost differential between renewable and conventional energy production, increasing the commercial viability of a choice to use renewable energy sources. Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) are also sometimes treated as carbon offsets, although the concepts are distinct. Whereas a carbon offset represents a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, a REC represents a quantity of energy produced from renewable sources. To convert RECs into offsets, the clean energy must be translated into carbon reductions, typically by assuming that the clean energy is displacing an equivalent amount of conventionally produced electricity from the local grid. This is known as an indirect offset (because the reduction doesn't take place at the project site itself, but rather at an external site), and some controversy surrounds the question of whether they truly lead to "additional" emission reductions and who should get credit for any reductions that may occur. Lexi now has her very own limo, and I no longer have to decide between driving around town to do errands (with Lexi's fine company) or using my bicycle and dealing with Lexi's major moping mood at being left at home. Plus! We will be offsetting about 6 lbs of carbon offset for each little trip to the beach! Let me show you in layman terms how it works: Al Gore goes to an Italian restaurant and eats a loaf of garlic bread, a plate of lasagna, a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, an extra large pizza with seven toppings, a couple bottles of expensive wine and a large assortment of pastries. As a result, he puts on 10 pounds. But he is deeply concerned that mankind is getting too fat. So he pays 10 peasants in Asia $10 each to eat nothing for a week. Although they are already skinny, by starving themselves for a week, they each lose a pound. As a result, after a week, mankind is weight neutral. Al Gore weighs 10 pounds more, 10 Asians weigh 10 pounds less -- and Al Gore is given another Nobel Propaganda Prize for his leadership in keeping mankind's obesity in check. Of course, this example is not quite fair to Gore because that imagined humanitarianism actually costs him cash money. In the real carbon offset business, he looks forward to being paid for directing other carbon consumers to invest in carbon neutral projects through Generation Investment Management which Gore is the founder and chairman. So Gore will profit from mankind's misery. I'm glad to see he finally has developed the capitalist instinct (like his daddy did with Occidental Petroleum and Armand Hammer). When Gore personally is using carbon, as when he flies in a carbon belching Gulfstream jet, one of his companies would pay some other guy not to fly or plant a tree or do something to offset Gore's carbon belching so that Gore can feel elated about himself and live as he wants.
