3D Medical Animation: Antibody Immune Response This 3D medical animation shows how antibodies stop harmful pathogens from attaching themselves to healthy cells in the blood stream. The animation begins by showing normal red and white blood cells flowing through the blood stream. Next, a single pathogen appears onscreen slowly moving toward its destination on the surface of a cell. Math Education: A response to "An Inconvenient Truth" Part1 I saw a video on youtube called "Math Education: An Inconvenient Truth" and felt like it needed a response from someone whose career is in math education. This is the perspective of one college professor. And about the "standard algorithm" for multiplication where we write: 16 32 ___ Etc. A little thought leads to the realization that this really is just 32*16=(30+2)*16=30*16+2*16. Hence the "standard algorithm" is identical with this method of multiplication. Oh, and interestingly, the "standard algorithm" isn't really standard after all. Talk to folks from other countries sometime and ask them to multiply and divide for you. Their algorithm may be quite different seeming from yours. In fact, of course, it's all really the same because mulitplication is truly only one well-defined operation. Terrorism had not yet happened domesticly in the United States on any significant level that people would remember. George Herbert Hoover Walker Bush (George Bush senior) was president seeking relection following a successful war in Iraq, but facing a very weak showing in fixing mounting domestic issues. Bill Clinton was running for the first time and was focusing on domestic issues as a "New Democrat" moderate. Clinton gave a series of public speakings all across the US to showcase his stance on domestic issues. In this video: Bill Clinton was speaking in favor of condoms in public schools when he got heckled by a guy (I think it might have been the activitist who called himself "Luke Sissyfag" (aka Luke Montgomery). Clinton, agitated, responds swiftly to the heckling and gives him a pointed lecture about being courteous. Due to heavy influx of spam in comments and off-color comments that range towards harassment of other users, combined with the fact I no-longer have time to wade through moderating dozens of comments a day, further comments are now disabled.
