Halo 3 "Mythic" Revealed - New Achievements - PAX 2008 Here is part of Halo 3 Mythic which was shown by Bungie during PAX 2008. I managed to get my hands on some pics which were leaked on the internet. There are 30 new achievements for Halo 3 all worth 750 gamerpoints. Most are based on the Legendary and Mythic map packs. As of now, if you start up Halo 3 on your 360, in the main menu where you choose, "Campaign", "Multiplayer", "Custom" etc, you will see 1.1 on the bottom of the screen. That is the current version number. On the picture that was leaked which shows "Halo 3 Mythic", the number is 1.2 indicating version 1.2 which is most likely means it is an expansion. As for when this will come out, If you looked at the pictures of the achievements on the video, one achievement "Vidmaster Challenge: Annual" states that, "After 9/25/08, completed Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts." It said 9/25/08 which means that is the approximate date of which Mythic is going to be released. New Halo 3 map preview - "Assembly" a.k.a. Purple Reign Here is a preview of the multiplayer on the new Halo 3 map "Assembly" which Bungie showed off at the PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) 2008. This map was originally called Purple Reign but was changed to Assembly. It was also slated to be part of the new legendary map pack but it never made in since it was still in its beginning stages of designing. Assembly is slated to become part of the new and third Halo 3 "Mythic" map pack along with another map, "Space Camp" also in development along with a rumored third map which is supposed to be an enhanced map editor.
