Megadeth - Mechanix (Studio Version) For the High Quality video copy and paste "&fmt=18" at the end of the URL box then press enter. Megadeth - Mechanix. The album: Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! is the debut album by American heavy metal band Megadeth. It was originally released in 1985 on Combat Records. The album received positive reviews, even from mainstream music critics. The deluxe edition, completely remixed and remastered and featuring a new cover and several bonus tracks, was released by Loud Records in 2002. The album's artwork, featuring a plastic skull with tinfoil, was not intended to be the original artwork. Mustaine wanted a picture of Megadeth mascot Vic Rattlehead on the cover, however the studio lost the artwork, so they improvised the low-budget replacement. These Boots was on the original pressing of the album, but deleted from subsequent pressings due to legal issues with the song's writer, Lee Hazlewood. It was later added back onto the 2002 remaster, albeit with edit beeps everywhere a lyric change was made. The song: "The Mechanix" is a heavy metal song written by Dave Mustaine, founder and lead singer of Megadeth. He originally wrote the song for Metallica, but Mustaine was later kicked out of the band right before they recorded their debut album, Kill 'Em All. The other members of the band changed the lyrics and added a new bridge section and released it on the album, retitling it "The Four Horsemen". Mustaine was still given credit for the song, although Mustaine claims he asked the band not to use his material, a charge Metallica disputes. The new lyrics refer to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Mustaine formed Megadeth and released the song with its original lyrics a year later on Megadeth's debut album, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!. The lyrics use several different automotive phrases and terms as sexual innuendo. This is the way the song was originally written (as can be heard on the early Metallica demo, No Life 'Til Leather), and lacks the bridge added to "The Four Horsemen." Megadeth's "The Mechanix" also has a much faster tempo than "The Four Horsemen." Later, after forming Megadeth, Mustaine would sometimes perform the song in concert, differentiating between "their way" and "our way" of playing the song. In the original version of the song, Mustaine screams "Fuck yeah!" at 3:07; however, on the greatest hits album, this was cut out. The different versions of the song are as follows: •The Mechanix - Metallica - No Life 'Til Leather - 1982 •The Four Horsemen - Metallica - Kill 'Em All - 1983 •Mechanix - Megadeth - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! - 1985 (re-released 2002) Of late, Megadeth has started playing with 'Holy Wars' but half way through that song, cutting in parts or all of 'The Mechanix' before returning to finish Holy Wars. Mechanix Imagine you were at my station And you brought your motor to me Your a burner yeah a real motor car Said you wanna get your order filled Made me shiver when I put it in Pumping just won't do ya know luckily for you Whoever thought you'd be better At turning a screw than me I do it for my life Made my drive shaft crank Made my pistons bulge Made my ball bearing melt from the heat We were shifting hard when we took off Put tonight all four on the floor When we hit top end you know it feels to slow I'm giving you my room service And ya know it's more than enough Oh one more time ya know I'm in love Solo - Mustaine Music & Lyrics Mustaine Tags: Megadeth The Mechanix Four Horsemen Dave Mustaine Killing Is My Business And Good Good!Guitar Chris Poland David Ellefson Gar Samuelson Drums Last Rites Loved To Deth Death Thrash Metal Speed Metallica Slayer Anthrax Hangar Symphony Rock Solo Vic Rattlehead Heavy Kerry King Mike Albert Jeff Young Chuck Behler Marty Friedman Nick Menza Bass Kill 'Em All |

The album was to originally feature cover art with an illustration of the band depicted as cannibals preparing and eating their meal. However the cover was replaced with a photo of the band members leaning on a bar prior to release. The original cover was promoted by the record company in music magazines just prior to its release with the headline of "Metal's Heaviest Meal". The original cover was also available as a limited edition picture disc LP. There are several demos of songs from the album with their former singer Paul Baloff circulating on the internet. Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1980 in San Francisco, California by guitarist Gary Holt, current Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet, and singer/drummer Tom Hunting. The album, Bonded By Blood: Bonded by Blood is the debut album by the California band Exodus. Although the album was completed in the summer of 1984, it was not released until 1985 due to issues with Exodus and its record label. It is considered one of the most influential thrash metal albums of all time. It is also the only studio recording of Exodus to feature Paul Baloff on vocals, though he was also on their 1982 Demo. The original album cover art was an illustration of good and evil co-joined twin infants. This cover was later replaced with the band logo on a red-and-black image of a crowd. The album was remastered and re-issued by Century Media in 1999 in Europe only, with two live tracks from its Combat re-release in 1989, featuring Steve Souza on vocals. This reissue from Century Media restored the original twin cover artwork. This video has been uploaded sometimes before, but UltimoGuitarist's account is now gone and he had this video with almost 200.000 views. So I'll try to get this video viewed again:) Metallica - The Black Album (Metallica) Metallica (also known as The Black Album, in reference to The White Album, because of its largely black and nearly-featureless cover) is the 1991 self-titled 5th studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. Metallica was released August 12, 1991, through Elektra Records and is the band's best-selling album to date, with 15 million copies sold in the United States alone as of 2007 and 22 million copies worldwide. On the cover, only the band's logo and a coiled snake (derived from the Gadsden flag - which could be seen hanging on a wall in the "One on One" recording studio where the album was recorded) are visible. The motto of the Gadsden flag, "Don't Tread on Me", is also the title of a song featured on the album. Metallica won their third Grammy Award for the Black Album. Many felt the band should have won a Grammy for their ...And Justice for All album - the band was nominated in the "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal" category, but lost to Jethro Tull. When accepting the Grammy for the Black Album, drummer Lars Ulrich made a point of thanking Jethro Tull for not releasing an album that same year. However, Tull did release an album that year, titled Catfish Rising, but it did not see the same critical success as Crest of a Knave. The world tour following the Metallica album, initially dubbed the Wherever We May Roam Tour and then later the Nowhere Else to Roam Tour, saw Metallica on the road for the next three years. The tour was in part documented in the A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica documentary, as well as the 3-CD, 2-DVD (or 3-VHS) box-set Live Shit: Binge & Purge. The Toxic Waltz: Here's a new dance craze that's sweeping the nation It's called the toxic waltz and it's causing devastation You're jumping up and down like a psycho circus clown Slamming with waltzers all the way around You get caught up in the whip You're thrown into a flip You aim for someone's head To stain the floor red Give someone a kick To prove you're truly sick Bounce back from some blows And blood runs out your nose Flailing round and round And you're injury bound Waltz it up! The pit is it! You can take your chance On this rough new dance If you dare! To dive in! There are some that try But they won't survive They don't hit! 'Cause they're wimps! And this exercise Helps you brutalize With us! Exodus! Everybody's doin' the toxic waltz Kick your friend in the head and have a ball Come on and do the toxic waltz And slam your partner against the wall Everybody's doin' the toxic waltz Good friendly violent fun in store for all Get up off your ass and toxic waltz If you hit the floor you can always crawl! Used to do the monkey, but now it's not cool The twist and mash potato are no exception to the rule So don't be a dunce and dance like a runt Just throw your elbows with good friendly violent fun Don't start to cry If you get a black eye Just dive back in And give another try But too much action May leave you in traction So you better get insurance No matter your endurance! Slayer - Born Of Fire (Studio Version) For the High Quality video copy and paste "&fmt=18" at the end of the URL box then press enter. Slayer - Born Of Fire. The Album, Seasons In The Abyss: Seasons in the Abyss is the fifth studio album by thrash metal band Slayer. It was recorded in 1989 and released in 1990 through Def American Records, and later through American Recordings after the company changed its name. It was Dave Lombardo's last studio album with Slayer, until his return in 2006 with the release of Christ Illusion. "Born of Fire" was for a long time just an instrumental leftover song from South of Heaven with a working title "Stress" due to the fact that Kerry King could not write any good lyrics for it during the South of Heaven sessions. Eventually it was the last song completed for Seasons in the Abyss. The somewhat strange vocal arrangement on the track "Temptation" was unintentionally done that way. If you listen to the track, you actually hear Tom Araya singing the song twice: once the way he thought it fit and for the second time on the insistence of Kerry King the way he thought it should be sung. The haunting end result came to be because the first vocal track was not erased between the takes. When the producer played the track and heard both vocal renditions simultaneously on the instrumental background, he liked it so much that both vocals were used on the album. Nobody is sure which vocals are the original. War, murder, blood, and human weakness are the major lyrical themes. In Born of Fire, Spirit in Black, and Temptation, the album returns to the Satanic themes previously featured in Reign in Blood and Hell Awaits. The song "Dead Skin Mask" was inspired by serial killer Ed Gein. "Blood Red" deals with oppressive communist regimes. "War Ensemble" is an exploration of the horrors of war. Born Of Fire. Slayer - Hell Awaits (Studio Version) For the High Quality video copy and paste "&fmt=18" at the end of the URL box then press enter. Slayer - Hell Awaits. The Album: Hell Awaits is the second studio album by the American thrash metal band Slayer, released through Metal Blade Records in 1985. The band's previous release, Show No Mercy, became Metal Blade Records highest selling release, which led producer Brian Slagel wish to release another album. Slagel financed a recording budget (Show No Mercy was self-financed by band members) and recruited several experienced producers to help in the studio. Hell Awaits featured the band's most progressive and diverse work compared to their previous releases, having faster, thrash orientated songs, and is cited as an influence by many extreme metal bands. The album had several re-issues, including bonus tracks taken from the EP Haunting the Chapel. Slayer's previous album Show No Mercy became Metal Blade Records highest selling release — 40,000 copies worldwide; making producer Brian Slagel want the band to release another record. Slagel hired producer Ron Fair, who worked for Chrysalis Records, and had seen the band perform live and enjoyed their performance. On seeing Slayer in the studio Fair stated "Wow, these guys are really angry", as he was inexperienced working with heavy metal musicians. Slagel financed the album, where as Show No Mercy was financed by vocalist Tom Araya, using his earnings as a respiratory therapist and money borrowed from guitarist Kerry King's father. Drummer Dave Lombardo asserts the album was professionally done compared to their previous release, Show No Mercy: "I didn't have to overdub the cymbals, and we had a really good engineer." Lombardo's favorite song is "At Dawn They Sleep": "because it was kind of slow and grungy, but then it had that double-bass part the middle." While recording the track, neither guitarists King or Jeff Hanneman who wrote the lyrics were in the studio — only Araya and Slagel. On reading the lyrics there was a word, which was written incorrectly, Araya sang it how it was spelled, although it's not a real word. Bernie Grundman provided audio mastering, Eddy Schreyer worked on remastering and Bill Metoyer, who worked on the band's previous release, Haunting the Chapel, acted as sound engineer. Lyrical themes on Hell Awaits included darker themes than Show No Mercy, such as Hell and Satan - the intro to "Hell Awaits" is a backwards recording of a demonic-sounding voice repeating "Join us," ending with "Welcome back". Araya asserts the album had poor production quality "Nowadays, production-wise, it's so under par. But for what it was at the time, those are amazing records to me. I guess we could go in and redo it. But why ruin it?" Backwards recording: Join Us! X - times, Welcome Back... Existing on damnations edge The priest had never known To witness such a violent show Of power overthrown Angels fighting aimlessly Still dying by the sword Our legions killing all in sight To get the one called lord The gates of hell lie waiting as you see There's no price to pay just follow me I can take your lost soul from the grave Jesus knows your soul can not be saved Crucify the so called lord He soon shall fall to me Your souls are damned your God has fell To slave for me eternally Hell awaits... Slayer - Angel Of Death (Studio Version) For the High Quality video copy and paste "&fmt=18" at the end of the URL box then press enter. Slayer - Angel Of Death. "Angel of Death" is the opening track on the American thrash metal band Slayer's 1986 album Reign in Blood. The lyrics and music were written by Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman and are based on Nazi physician Josef Mengele, who conducted human experiments at the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. "Angel of Death" led to the band facing accusations of Nazi sympathizing and racism throughout their career. Despite the controversy surrounding the song and its contribution to the delay in the release of Reign in Blood, "Angel of Death" is featured on all of Slayer's live albums and DVDs and has appeared in several movies. The song was well received by critics; Steve Huey of All Music Guide described it as a "classic." Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman wrote "Angel of Death" after reading books about Nazi physician Josef Mengele while on tour with the band: "I remember stopping someplace where I bought two books on Mengele. I thought, 'This has gotta be some sick shit.' So when it came time to do the record, that stuff was still in my head—that's where the lyrics to "Angel of Death" came from." The lyrics detail Mengele's surgical experiments on patients at the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Mengele's explorations were conducted on such groups as dwarves and twins, and included both physical and psychological examinations. Among the tests he performed that are mentioned in "Angel of Death" are experimental surgeries performed without anesthesia, transfusion of blood between twins, the sewing of bodies, isolation endurance, gassing, injections with lethal germs, sex change operations, and the removal of organs and limbs. "Angel of Death" is the longest track on the album Reign in Blood, spanning 4:51 minutes, where the total duration of the album is 28 minutes. Hanneman and King deliver their 'intricate riffs', which offer the few hints of melody on the album according to Pop Matters reviewer Adrien Begrand, and Araya bursts out his piercing scream, with Lombardo performing at an average of 210 beats per minute. When drummer Lombardo left the band in 1992, due to conflicts with band members and his desire to bring his wife on tour, the band chose Testament drummer Paul Bostaph as his replacement. Bostaph made one mistake out of the nine songs the band trialled him with, on "Angel of Death". Before the "big double bass part" there's a lead section, which Bostaph could not understand, as he had to learn from live records recorded with Lombardo. Bostaph could not tell how many revolutions the guitar riff goes before the bass sequence. The band members told him there was eight, "perfecting" the song after. Slayer - Raining Blood (Studio Version) Slayer - Raining Blood. "Raining Blood" is the final track from thrash metal band Slayer's 1986 album, Reign in Blood. The song has become a live staple played at every Slayer show since its release, and featured on every Slayer live album and DVD. The song was featured in the 127th South Park episode Die Hippie, Die aired on March 16, 2005. The plot centers on the town of South Park, which has been overrun by hippies. Eric Cartman states "Hippies can't stand death metal" and proceeds to drill through a hippie concert onto the main stage to change the audio to "Raining Blood", making the hippies run away. King found the episode humorous and expressed his interest in the show ending the interview with "It was good to see the song being put to good use, if we can horrify some hippies we've done our job.". "Raining Blood" was also included in the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in-game radio station V-Rock. Raining Blood is a playable song in the Activision music video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, where it is renowned for being one of the hardest songs in the regular "Career Mode" setlist, due to its very high tempo and devastatingly notorious Mosh 1 section. It is also featured in the skateboarding game Skate. Raining Blood [Lyrics - Haneman, King, Music - Hanneman] Trapped in purgatory A lifeless object, alive Awaiting reprisal Death will be their acquisition The sky is turning red Return to power draws near Fall into me, the sky's crimson tears Abolish the rules made of stone Pierced from below, souls of my treacherous past Betrayed by many, now ornaments dripping above Awaiting the hour of reprisal Your time slips away Raining blood From a lacerated sky Bleeding its horror Creating my structure Now I shall reign in blood! Black Sabbath - Shock Wave (Studio Version) Black Sabbath - Shock Wave. Never Say Die! is an album by heavy metal band Black Sabbath. The band's eighth album, it was released in September 1978 (see 1978 in music). This was the last Black Sabbath studio album with Ozzy Osbourne. The album shows a departure from the glossy synth-laden period, to a more basic rock approach, though not in the vein of their original doom and gloom style. Before this album was recorded, Ozzy Osbourne was fired from the band and was breifly replaced by former Savoy Brown & Fleetwood Mac vocalist Dave Walker. Some songs were written with Walker, and the new group even performed an early version of "Junior's Eyes" with different lyrics on the BBC programme, "Look Hear". Osbourne eventually rejoined the band, refusing to sing any of the songs written with Walker. These particular songs were rewritten, including "Junior's Eyes" (rewritten to be about the then-recent death of Ozzy's father). All four band members sing on "A Hard Road". "Shock Wave" There's no reason for you to run You can't escape the fate of the chosen one Black moon rising, in a blood red sky This time you realise that you're gonna die Drinking your blood brew is your answer That's what you plan to do No dreaming, time you cheat this master You're on your own going through Wind of mist has taken over your mind And you think you're on your own Don't believe you are the only one here Look around, you're not alone Feel the forces from another world Ghostly shadows fill your mind Evil power hanging over you As you freeze, you're like a child Look behind you! Somebody's calling Someone is near Feel yourself falling Falling with fear You tell yourself you're dreaming You realise you're screaming You know that this shouldn't happen to you You tell yourself that it's scary too But there is nothing you can do, oh! Ghostly shadows from the other world Evil forces in your mind Trapped between the worlds of life and death Frozen in the realms of time Look behind you! You feel yourself falling, you're at the end of the line Your body is crawling, but your senses are blind Cold, cold feelings are running through your brains Ice cold fingers, running through your veins Tags: Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Shock Wave Never Say Die Die! Black Sabbath/Iommi- No Stranger To Love (Studio Version) Black Sabbath - No Stranger To Love. Seventh Star is the twelfth studio album by the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It was originally written, recorded, and intended to be the first solo album by guitarist Tony Iommi, but due to label pressures and the prompting of band manager Don Arden, the record was billed as Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi. This seems a bizarre choice for many fans, as Iommi was in fact the only original band member to feature on the album. As such, some fans do not consider this to be a "true" Sabbath album. Glenn Hughes, ex-Deep Purple bassist and vocalist, was lead singer but did not play bass on this release. As this album was not originally intended to be a Black Sabbath record, its sound is drastically different from previous releases. Many of the songs have a very bluesy feel, and it is notably less heavy than its predecessor, Born Again. Seventh Star was the first album to feature longtime keyboardist Geoff Nicholls as an official band member. "No Stranger to Love", is a song by Black Sabbath. The first and only single from the album Seventh Star which was effectively Tony Iommi's 1st solo album, but became an album for Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi, thanks to pressure from the record company. A 12" US promo single, in a card picture-sleeve, has an alternate mix, which adds harmony vocals from Glenn Hughes. The music video co-starred Denise Crosby from Star Trek: The Next Generation fame along side the band. "No Stranger To Love" Cold is the night Lonely till dawn Cry for the light For the love that won't come You said that you'd never Leave me alone I gave you my heart You cried for my soul An angel won't come This devil won't go Something is wrong I just can't get away Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love But I'm a stranger in your arms Yes, I'm a stranger in your arms Maybe it's right But I just can't understand The hurt that I feel For my love second hand I know I should leave But I just can't walk away Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love I'm a stranger in your arms Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love Tags: Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Glenn Hughes Deep Purple Iommi Solo Seventh Star Ward Butler No Stranger To Love Trek Wars |

Black Sabbath - Luke's Wall/War Pigs (Studio Version) Black Sabbath - Luke's Wall/War Pigs. "War Pigs" is an anti-war song by British heavy metal band Black Sabbath from their 1970 album, Paranoid. The song talks about war and the absurdities of those who make war without regard to the powerless people who are sent to die. It's sometimes called a protest song. As explained in the liner notes of the band's live album Reunion, the original title of the song was Walpurgis, and it dealt with the witches' sabbath. The title, lyrics, and theme were subsequently changed during the recording of Paranoid. An early version, with its original theme, can be found on Ozzy Osbourne's compilation The Ozzman Cometh. It is the opening track on Paranoid, Black Sabbath's best selling album. It can also be found on every live and compilation album by the band (except Cross Purposes Live) along with "Paranoid" itself and "Iron Man". The outro to War Pigs has its own name: "Luke's Wall", and features a more melodic tone than the rest of the song, with heavy use of the Aeolian (natural minor) mode. It should also be noted although the guitar and bass are in E natural minor for most of the song, Ozzy's singing is actually in E Mixolydian mode. Originally intended to be the title-track, the name of the album was changed to Paranoid, as Black Sabbath's record company feared a backlash by supporters of the Vietnam War. It is one of Black Sabbath's most popular songs, and is still played on Classic Rock stations regularly. The riff, as with most Sabbath songs, is powerful and memorable, as are the eerie verses, which feature Osbourne singing alone (using a melody cribbed from their earlier "Behind The Wall Of Sleep") and punctuated at every line by a guitar lick. At the end, there's a speeding-up effect. "Luke's Wall/War Pigs" Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses Evil minds that plot destruction Sorcerers of death's construction In the fields the bodies burning As the war machine keeps turning Death and hatred to mankind Poisoning their brainwashed minds... Oh Lord yeah! Politicians hide themselves away They only started the war Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor, yeah Time will tell on their power minds Making war just for fun Treating people just like pawns in chess Wait 'till their Judgment day comes, yeah! Now in darkness, world stops turning Ashes where the bodies burning No more war pigs of the power Hand of God has struck the hour Day of Judgment, God is calling On their knees the war pigs crawling Begging mercy for their sins Satan, laughing, spreads his wings Oh Lord yeah! Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Studio Version) Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is a heavy metal song by British group, Black Sabbath. It is the title track of the band's fifth album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. It was released on the album in 1973. The song is the opening track on the album. It appears as the 12th track in the 2006 Black Sabbath Greatest Hits 1970-1978 album. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath starts out with a more progressive sound and riff. The lyrics and sound to the song appears to be inspired by the band's frustration with their former manager and the sense of betrayal they had felt at times. The song deals with a person who is betrayed and lied to, and disenfranchised from what seems to be his native society(1st 2 lines, last stanza "Everything around you, what's it coming to") Velvet Revolver and former Guns and Roses guitarist Slash has stated that "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is his favourite Black Sabbath riff and song. When at The Download Festival in 2005 where both Velvet Revolver and Black Sabbath were playing, Slash stated that he would be "Putting in a request with the band for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" You've seen life through distorted eyes You know you had to learn The execution of your mind You really had to turn The race is run the book is read The end begins to show The truth is out, the lies are old But you don't want to know Nobody will ever let you know When you ask the reasons why They just tell you that you're on your own Fill your head all full of lies The people who have crippled you You want to see them burn The gates of life have closed on you And now there's just no return You're wishing that the hands of doom Could take your mind away And you don't care if you don't see again The light of day Nobody will ever let you know When you ask the reasons why They just tell you that you're on your own Fill your head all full of lies Where can you run to What more can you do No more tomorrow Life is killing you Dreams turn to nightmares Heaven turns to hell Burned out confusion Nothing more to tell Everything around you What's it coming to God knows as your dog knows Bog blast all of you Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Nothing more to do Living just for dying Dying just for you Tags: Black Sabbath Ozzy Osbourne Bloody Tony Iommi Ward Butler Metal Rock Guns Roses Velvet Revolver Slash Guitar Solo Riff |

Black Sabbath - Paranoid (Studio Version) Black Sabbath - Paranoid. "Paranoid" is a song by Black Sabbath that appears on the band's breakthrough album Paranoid. Supposedly, the members of Black Sabbath put together this song in 15 minutes based on a solo by Tony Iommi. This song was only meant to be a "filler", but became one of Black Sabbath's most well known songs. The record company changed the album's name from War Pigs, as it was originally intended, to Paranoid out of fear of a backlash from supporters of the Vietnam War. "Paranoid" is uncharacteristically fast and simple for a Black Sabbath song, and is one of the most-covered songs of all time. Unlike most of the band's songs, "Paranoid" was short enough (just under 3 minutes) to be released as a single, as well as to receive airplay on mainstream radio. The single, with "The Wizard " on the B-side, was released in the UK in July 1970 and it reached the number 4. Lead singer Ozzy Osbourne has continued to play this song as a solo artist and did a version live with Randy Rhoads, which was released on the live album Tribute. "Paranoid" was ranked #34 on VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs. In March 2005, Q magazine placed it at number 11 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. Rolling Stone ranked it #250 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Paranoid was ranked #1 in Martin Popoff book "The Top 500 Heavy Metal Songs Of All Time". Popoff put together this book by requesting thousands of metal fans, musicians, and journalists to send in their favourite heavy metal songs. Almost 18,000 individual votes were tallied and entered into a database from which the final rankings were derived. "Paranoid" Finished with my woman 'cause she couldn't help me with my mind people think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify Can you help me occupy my brain? Oh yeah I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry Happiness I cannot feel and love to me is so unreal And so as you hear these words telling you now of my state I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could but it's too late Tags: Black Sabbath Paranoid Iron Man Ozzy Osbourne Tony Iommi War Pigs Kelly Jack Studio Metal Butler Ward New Wave British |

It was first released on their second album Paranoid (1970) and later included on their initial greatest hits compilation We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll (1976), as well as all subsequent greatest hits compilations. The lyrics of the song, which may be metaphorical, describe the titular character. It is unsure if he is still in full possession of his faculties. He is largely ignored by those who pass him by, even though he had made the sacrifice of being turned to steel "when he travelled time for the future of mankind." As Iron Man stares at the world, he plots his revenge and then acts it out. The song indicates that Iron Man may have died and come back to life ("vengeance from the grave" and "Iron Man lives again"); at any rate, Iron Man has become fed up with the way he has been treated by those he served and begins to "kill the people he once saved." Another interpretation of the song is that the titular character was sent back in time to warn humanity of a monster who killed all the people he saw. Upon arriving in the past, however, the time traveler becomes stuck in place as an "Iron Man" and slowly goes mad as people taunt and ignore him. In the end, the time traveler becomes the very engine of destruction he was sent back in time to warn others about, a textbook example of a predestination paradox. This song features one of the most popular riffs of all time. It is frequently used in television and movies. "Iron Man" Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all, Or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? We'll just pass him there why should we even care? He was turned to steel in the great magnetic field When he travelled time for the future of mankind Nobody wants him He just stares at the world Planning his vengeance that he will soon unfurl Now the time is here for Iron Man to spread fear Vengeance from the grave Kills the people he once saved Nobody wants him They just turn their heads Nobody helps him Now he has his revenge Heavy boots of lead fills his victims full of dread Running as fast as they can Iron Man lives again! The sleeve used the artwork on the album cover, both sleeve designs were created by Joe Petagno. The chorus from the song is as follows: C'mon baby, eat the rich Put the bite on that son of a bitch Eat The Rich They say music is the food of love, Let's see if you are hungry enough, Take a bite, take another, just like a good boy would, Get a sweet thing on the side, Home cooking, homicide, Side order, could be your daughter, Fingerlicking good Come on baby, eat the rich, Put the bite on the son of a bitch, Don't mess around, don't give me no switch, C'mon baby eat the rich C'mon baby eat the rich Sittin' here in a restaurant, Tell the waiter just what you want Is that the meat, you wanted to eat, How would you ever know? Motorhead - Overkill (Studio Version) Motorhead - Overkill. "Overkill" is a song by the heavy metal band Motörhead. It was released in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings in 1979. It is covered with B-side "Too Late Too Late" which appears on the CD re-issues of the Overkill album. Early copies came with a free 'Overkill' badge. On March 9, 1979 the band played this song on the BBC TV Top of the Pops show, to support the release of the single. A song that induces mixed feelings at live concerts, "Overkill" is usually played as the last 'encore' and normally represents the very last chance for fans to "strut their stuff" at a live gig. The artwork on the sleeve was created by Joe Petagno, based on his design for the album's cover. In 1995, during the recording of the album Load, "Overkill", "Damage Case", "Stone Dead Forever" and "Too Late Too Late" were covered by Metallica, as a birthday gift for Lemmy, and released in 1996 on their "Hero of the Day" single. The single was released as a two CD single, the "Overkill" track is the second track on the first CD single, and was also used on the second disc of their 1998 cover album Garage Inc.. The single reached 60 on the U.S. Hot 100, 1 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock, and 17 on the U.K. Singles charts. The song was covered by Overkill, who took their name from the Overkill album by Motörhead, and appears as the first track on their 1999 album Coverkill. Overkill Only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud, So good you can't believe it's screaming with the crowd, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill On your feet you feel the beat, it goes straight to your spine, Shake your head you must be dead if it don't make you fly, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill Know your body's made to move, feel it in your guts Rock 'n' roll ain't worth the name if it don't make you strut, Don't sweat it, get it back to you, Overkill, Overkill Tags: Motorhead Overkill Ace Spades Lemmy Killmister Metal Speed Thrash Guitar Drums Bass Studio Rock Punk Metallica Garage |

Diamond Head - Am I Evil? (Studio Version) Diamond Head - Am I Evil? Diamond Head are a British heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge, England. They were one of the leading members of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and are acknowledged by later bands like Metallica and Megadeth as an important early influence. "Am I Evil?" is a song by British heavy metal band Diamond Head and first appeared on their Lightning to the Nations album. The intro to the song is based on the Mars theme of Gustav Holst's The Planets. The lyrics tell of a child whose mother was burned alive because she was believed to be a witch. When he grows up he decides to take revenge on the people who killed his mother and goes on a killing spree. Outside of the original recording, the song is probably best known among metal fans today for having been recorded and played live many times by the younger band Metallica, who cite Diamond Head as a major influence. The song was part of Metallica's Creeping Death cassette single and on some pressings of the Kill 'Em All album. The song appeared again in 1998 on Metallica's Garage Inc. anthology of covers, as well as on Disc 3 of the Live Shit: Binge & Purge live album. Am I Evil? [Harris/Tatler] My mother was a witch, she was burned alive Thankless little bitch, for the tears I cried Take her down now, don't wanna see her face Blistered and burnt, can't hide my disgrace 27 every one was nice, gotta see them, Make them pay the price See their bodies out on the ice, take my time Am I evil, yes I am Am I evil, I am man As I watched my Mother die, I lost my head Revenge now I sought, to break with my bread Takin' no chances, you come with me I'll split you to the bone Help set you free. 27 every one was nice, gotta see them, Make them pay the price See their bodies out on the ice, take my time Am I evil, yes I am Am I evil, I am man On with the action now, I'll strip your pride I'll spread your blood around, I'll see you ride Your face is scarred with steel, wounds deep and neat Like a double dozen before you, smell so sweet. 27 every one was nice, gotta see them, Make them pay the price See their bodies out on the ice, take my time Am I evil, yes I am Am I evil, I am man I'll make my residence, I'll watch your fire You can come with me, sweet desire My face is long forgotten, my face not my own Sweet and timely whore, take me home Tags: Diamond Head Metallica Megadeth Slayer Thrash Am Evil? The picture of the band in Santa outfits used on the cover was taken while the band were on tour at the Aylesbury Fair. In November the song reached #15 in the UK Singles Chart. Bronze also issued German and Spanish 7" vinyl versions which had a different sleeves, as well as a Japanese import, with a colour picture insert with song lyrics in English and Japanese. One sided test pressings (not mis-presses, used in the trade) escaped the pressing plant and are on the market. For the lyrics, Lemmy said he "used gambling metaphors, mostly cards and dice - when it comes to that sort of thing, I'm more into the one-arm bandits actually, but you can't really sing about spinning fruit, and the wheels coming down". On September 6, 1980 Lemmy was interviewed by Graham Neil on BBC Radio 1's Rock On Saturday show, "Bomber", "Ace of Spades" and "Love Me Like a Reptile" were played.
