Movie Viewers From the same titled EP by a brief identity as Rescue 1, this was produced in 1981 and offered to MTV when they had about 500 videos, but it was way too cool for the PTA mothers running the show. As we taped the 42nd street footage, Ronald Reagan's motorcade came by to authenticate the diatribe against Greed & War that seem to be every Republican's treat, leading to teenage depression. Distant Star Yet another early Amiga effort (pre-Toaster using Live by A Squared) using colorized clips and some great Amiga stills from Eyeful Tower Communications (R. Shamms Mortier), featuring Marilyn on vocals (www.MarilynNYC.com), Robbie on electronic drums in our short lived Virtual Reality project. What sets this apart is that I dreamed the music and woke up with the melody in my head, but fell asleep and was able to remember it for the full composition (on my birthday, the day Aristedes DuVal's daughter Melodia was born)! Within I had just watched Mississippi Burning and was outraged about what happened in my country in the 60's and then three days later, Yusuf Hawkins was gunned down in a senseless case of racist mistaken identity just blocks away from my home in Benonhurst. I edited in the crowd to go along with the music and hail this as one of my bolder racial statements - no computer graphics or fancy solos. It tells a story that made me weep and feel ashamed of what a few in my neighborhood did to bring racism right to the heart of my Bensonhurst community. Heart Throb This is a truly amazing feat, capturing the pulsating 'heart throb' via an Amiga 'Live' digitizing board by A Squared, performing the actual effects with the mouse while I sang the vocal and recorded visuals and vocal to the music on a Sony PCM digital encoder, which was the precursor to DAT recording, so imagine the tools I was working with.
