This tutorial is a continuation of the series and will show you techniques for applying a soft focus to the subject and how to create a merged composite layer. It will show how to duplicate, transform scale and flip the image as well as how to screen and desaturate the duplicate subject to use as a background. The main color subject will easily overlap the background and blend by virtue of the darken blending mode, eliminating the necessity for masking or extraction of the subject. During the vid I refer to this as Color Match which I'll blame on my mild dyslexia just so you know, what I mean is the Color Match--I mean Match Color Command. Photoshop Mama's Colorization Concept Visit Mama at: http://www.photoshopmama.net To see this video in higher quality and larger format click here: http://www.photoshopmama.net/chores/colorization_concepts/ColorizationConcepts.html A basic tutorial showing the concept behind getting colorization to work over very dark to black pixels or very light to white pixels. While it's easy to change color over pixels where the luminosity falls into the middle gray areas, it is different when the luminosity falls into the black or white area. Easy color changes on blue or green eyes, but not so with dark brown eyes. Easy color changes on a red green or blue dress but not on a black dress. The key is to bump the luminosity to a gray level using the output levels sliders and then use colorization methods to change or replace the color. My Camtasia Screen Recording Settings http://www.photoshopmama.net ************************************ When I first started experimenting with Camtasia Studio for creating instructional videos, no one would help or share their settings. I had to hunt and peck and figure stuff out through trial and error. I am sharing info on the products I use, and where to get them. Also a vid on how I produce vids and specifically my post production procedure for saving vids for upload to YouTube. I get so many inquiries on this, I thought it's time to just try and record what I do. The file size of this video is 33.4MB for 13.4 minutes. TIPS: I don't recommend recording the entire screen or a program in Full Screen mode. I had to do this for this video but normally I only set the area of the Application. The smaller the area you record the sharper the quality will be. Videos recorded using the entire screen end up looking pretty fuzzy and soft (like this one!).
