LifeFormz - "Livin' In The Fridge" LifeFormz was an Academy award-winning college TV access puppetry & animation show circa 1993-95 that I created with the help of Steve Nelson, Ranjit Bhatnagar, Brian Flumen, David Kury and a large group of other puppet-loving crazy people at the University of Pennsylvania's UTV13 Station. We were inspired by the late great Jim Henson and our show was a part Sam & Friends, a bit Muppet Show, a bit crazy 60s psychedelic Henson, and a bit of early 90s quality CG animation with a touch of Monty Python. In general, we had know idea what we were doing, but we had a great time! This was one of the last Lifeformz clips I had a hand in (pun intended). We had a lot of fun on this one. Lots of extra puppeteers and crew needed. We somehow found a fridge and ripped off the door, hinging it to a fake, mostly cardboard interior with holes for puppeteers hands. LifeFormz - "Foamhenge: Teatime" LifeFormz was an Academy award-winning college TV access puppetry & animation show circa 1993-95 that I created with the help of Steve Nelson, Ranjit Bhatnagar, Brian Flumen, David Kury and a large group of other puppet-loving crazy people at the University of Pennsylvania's UTV13 Station. We were inspired by the late great Jim Henson and our show was a part Sam & Friends, a bit Muppet Show sketch, a bit crazy 60s psychedelic Henson, and a bit of early 90s quality CG animation with a touch of Monty Python. In general, we did not know what we were doing, but we had a great time! Another favorite, part one of a two part sketch "Foamhenge", also known as "In Search of the Unknown, Unsolved, Unexplained Mysterious Things We Do Not Know Anything About," a parody of BBC documentaries and all those paranormal Time/LIFE book sets that were being advertised on TV at the time. This was one of our most advanced sketches, using two cameras, one with a low angle shot of Bertrand Crumb (voiced by Steve, puppeteered by me) in front of a green screen, the other aimed at the Foamhenge puppets (about 1.5 feet tall, performed by Brian F. and Ranjit, I think...it's been a while) in front of a black screen with a Lumakeyed cloudy sky. That combined signal was fed back into the Chromakeyer and the entire sketch performed live (audio looped in later).
