General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 58 Part 58. Felicia drops by Alan's with some food. Alan is suspicious about why she brought him lunch but Felicia is just worried about him. Alan warns Felicia about how dangerous his dealer is. Alan wants Felicia to tell people in her book about the dangers of drug addiction. If it can happen to him, it can happen to anybody. Alan is worried that the dealer could do something to her but she tells him not to worry about her. Alan sets up the meeting and Felicia tells him he can leave. Alan leaves reluctantly. Note: Thanks to Alanmonicaforever for supplying the last bit of this clip. Unfortunately, none of us has the other Felicia scenes where the dealer spikes Felicia's drinks. General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 57 Part 57. AJ tells Edward that there's a better way to get Michael. Robin is the key. Emily's agent tells them that Emily has to continue to model or she'll be in breach of contract. Monica agrees to let her continue but she needs an adult chaperone. Jerry Jax asks Amy about a stranger at the Bachanalia. (The photo is of Luke behind a mask.) Alan comes along with X-Rays from Tony's clinic. Amy tells Jerry that Alan was at the Bachanalia. Jerry shows the photo to Alan who immediately recognizes the person who he ran into at Windermere. Note: You can watch Alan at the Bachanalia somewhere on YouTube. I think somebody posted that storyline. Jerry is in cahoots with Helena and Katherine at the moment trying to find out who cut the balcony railings that Katherine plunged over (instead of Helena). General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 56 Part 56. Felicia watches as Alan's drug dealer visits Alan at the "flophouse". After the dealer leaves, Felicia confronts Alan about it. He tries to deny it but Felicia knows. Felicia offers her help to Alan. Felicia wants to meet the dealer. Monica and AJ talk about Carly. Felicia wants to talk to the dealer for research for her book. Alan doesn't feel good about introducing her to him. Alan realizes that he ruined himself but the dealer was always there to feed his addiction. Felicia tells him that she has always looked up to him and this is just a bad spell that he'll pull through. Alan appreciates the support. Edward tells AJ to go woo Carly so they can get Michael. Monica tells Edward it's way too soon to go see Carly. Reporters are gathering at the mansion because of Emily's photos. AJ tells Edward how he thinks he'll be able to get on Carly's good side and bring Michael to the family. General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 55 Part 55. Tony asks Felicia not to tell anybody he's there. He's afraid it might jeopardize his future reinstatement to the GH staff. Alan looks out the door again and this time sees Taggart listening at Felicia's door. His dealer is due any minute and he can't believe it. He storms out into the hallway yelling at Taggart to leave him alone. Felicia comes out, much to Taggart's horror. Taggart lies and tells Felicia that he's there to check up on Alan. Felicia accuses him of harassment but manages to see Alan's dealer pop around the corner and pop back around the corner as soon as he saw Taggart. Taggart leaves and Felicia asks Alan about the strange man. Alan denies knowing anybody with that description and leaves for work. Meanwhile, back at the Q mansion Bobbie and Monica are having a big fight about Carly and her actions. Bobbie tries to justify everything that Carly has done and countering Carly's misdeeds with Quartermaine misdeeds. Emily runs into the room in panic. The fake nude photos of her are all over the internet. General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 54 Part 54. Alan asks Felicia if she's there to spy on him but she says she isn't. Alan tells her that he's addicted to pain pills and trying to kick the addiction. He spins a tale for her about stopping the pill popping. He tells her that he's going to start working at Tony's clinic but not touching any patients. Felicia knows that Alan wouldn't let his personal problems affect his work which causes Alan to remark and choke out that he's "glad that somebody remembers." Alan asks Felicia to respect his privacy and don't tell anybody he's there. At the Q mansion, Monica scans the newspapers for any Q news and is thankful there is nothing. Emily wants AJ to convince everybody that she should start modelling again. Bobbie visits and tells them Carly is coming home. Bobbie tells them that they should stay away from Michael, Jason and Carly (and Robin!). Monica flips out at this suggestion and the best friends become less than friends. They really hash it out. Alan calls his dealer and he needs more drugs. He opens his door and sees Tony at Felicia's door. General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 53 Part 53. Felicia has moved into an apartment on Cortland Street (right across the hall from Alan!) because she wants to research the seedy side of Port Charles for her book. Mac's not entirely happy with this and tries to persuade her to leave. When he fails to convince her to leave, he tells Taggart to keep an eye on her but don't let her see him. After they leave, Alan is unlocking his door when Tony comes to him with employment papers. Alan questions Tony's motives for helping him. At that point, Felicia opens her door and sees the both of them. Alan looks at her in horror. Tony tells her that Alan lives here which angers and embarasses Alan. Felicia tells them why she's here. General Hospital - Nov 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 52 Part 52. Alan sits dejectedly in his flophouse when Monica comes to tell him about Emily. Alan wants to go see Emily but Monica forbids it. She doesn't want to talk to Alan until he's sober. She blames him for Emily's problems. When she leaves, Alan grabs his pills but he doesn't take them. Back at the mansion, the family decides that Emily won't do anymore modelling. Emily is upset. Tony pays Alan a visit and offers him a job at the clinic. He's willing to give Alan a second chance. Tony heads over to the hospital to tell Monica that he's going to redeem himself and get reinstated at GH by curing the sickest person Monica knows -- Alan. Monica thinks he's delusional but if he can do it, she'll be fair and reassess his situation. But no promises. Tony didn't ask for any. Bobbie doesn't like the sound of this and confronts Monica. Monica doesn't like Bobbie using her to bury Tony. Background: Bobbie and Tony are embroiled in a custody battle over Lucas. Bobbie had an order placed on Tony forbidding any contact between Tony and Lucas. This all stems from Tony's breakdown where he kidnapped Michael and Robin and Carly shooting Tony. Bobbie is currently involved with Jerry Jacks who is involved with Katherine, Helena and Stefan's storyline. (talk about intertwined storylines!) Emily shocks the family by telling them about how she was being blackmailed and how she, Liz, Nikolas and Lucky tried to get the guy who was doing it. Background: Emily was being blackmailed. Liz, Lucky, and Nikolas have been trying to get the blackmailer and rapist. I'm not uploading that storyline. I'm missing too many clips from it. It's this storyline, though, that starts off the "four muskateers". General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 49 Part 49. Monica discovers that her bracelet is missing and accuses Katherine of taking it. Monica's at the end of her rope with Katherine. Emily, upset at the arrival of an envelope, sneaks out while the family argues. Alan walks around in a stupor looking at the pawn ticket. He tells himself that he'll get the bracelet back to Monica before she notices it's gone. He goes to the bar for a shot and a bag of chips. Emily heads down to Courtland Street looking for Alan and encounters some creeps. They pester her and he calls out for Alan who comes running to her rescue. Alan asks what's she doing down there. Emily tells him she's down there to see him. She knows that he took the bracelet. Monica and Katherine argue more about the bracelet. AJ and Monica talk briefly about Alan and then about Edward giving AJ more attention lately. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 48 Part 48. Edward surprises Monica by telling her that he's keeping an eye on Alan. He doubts that Alan knows that he loves him. Edward questions his parenting technique. Monica tells Edward that Alan being a drug addict is not his fault. They both miss him. Edward explains why he gave the stock to Katherine. He tells Monica that they need to control Katherine and that's why she has to live in the mansion. Katherine accuses everybody of stealing her evening dresses. She gathers all the Q's and Reginald to her room to find out who stole her dresses but when she opens her closet, they're all in there. Alan needs more pills but doesn't have any money. His dealer tells him to sell something else but Alan tells him that the pawn brokers rip him off and he only has enough money for a bag of chips. The dealer doesn't care. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 47 Part 47. Alan sneaks out of the house with Monica's bracelet. Lila leaves the meeting because she's upset about Alan. Ned loses the vote to get Alexis as ELQ's counsel. Ned tells Alexis that they'll work together to get Katherine out of ELQ. Alan gives his dealer money for the drugs after he's pawned Monica's bracelet. Katherine and Monica have words. Katherine just bugs the heck out of Monica. Monica wants to kick her out of the mansion but Edward wants her to stay. Edward insists that she stay. Monica accuses Edward of lavishing Katherine with wealth and kindness but ignores Alan. Edward surprises Monica. Thanks to alanmonicaforever again for some missing clips. Q fans stick together... even if Microsoft and Apple prove to be an almost impossible conflict to overcome. I feel like doing a "I'm PC" and "I'm Apple" commercial after this ordeal. Alan has no money for his dealer and is desparate for pills. At the mansion, Ned calls a board meeting hoping Katherine won't show up but she does at the last minute. Lila worries about Alan and Monica tries to convince her that Alan is managing. While the Q's are in the living room, Alan enters the mansion and heads upstairs. Ned wants Alexis as ELQ counsel. She explains why she had to defend Tony on his kidnapping trial. Alan steals a bracelet from Monica's jewellry box. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 45 Part 45. Alan's been holed up in his flophouse on Courtland Street for 3 days after Edward kicked him out of the mansion. Tammy brings him groceries while Alan waits for his drug dealer. Alan complains to Tammy that he forgave Monica all her sins but she won't understand or forgive his and his family uses him as the scapegoat. He asks Tammy to score drugs for him but Tammy refuses. When Tammy leaves, she bumps into Monica who is on the street below. Monica tells Tammy that she's worried about Alan and loves him. She pays Tammy to keep an eye on him for her. Tammy tells her that sometimes people need to bottom out before they can find their way back up. Alan scores some drugs and takes them while Monica, on the street below, looks up sadly. Thanks to alanmonicaforever for saving my goose here and providing me with the clip. I was missing it and this allows the storyline to remain intact and in sequence. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 44 Part 44. As Katherine listens by the patio door, Edward wants to know which family member will get Jax's stock share. Monica wants Emily to get them and Ned wants Brook Lynne. Edward doesn't think the children should get it but doesn't think AJ should get it either. Edward pontificates. Reginald catches Katherine spying. At the hospital, Tony pays a visit to Monica. He wants to be reinstated at GH. Monica refuses and he appeals to Monica for a second chance. She still refuses and Tony threatens to squeal about Alan, probably not realizing everybody knows about Alan now. Monica doesn't care. Edward talks to Katherine about Jax's stock. He wants Katherine to have the stock because he wants fresh blood in ELQ. What is Edward thinking??!!! General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 43 Part 43. Monica berates Alan and tells him what she had to do to keep him out of jail. Edward disinherits him and kicks him out of the house. Alan leaves the mansion. The next day, Monica remembers her past conversations with Alan and starts to question what they've done. She tells AJ it took a lot not to run down to Alan's flophouse and drag him back. ELQ business interupts their concern for Alan and they discuss how to get Jax's stocks back. Katherine eavesdrops nearby. Note: Jax has made a deal with the government to keep Jerry and their father out of jail for laundering money for the mob. However, the government confiscated his 10% of ELQ which the Q's now want back. Tammy tries to kick the Q's out of the room and almost succeeds in getting rid of them until Lila starts honking the limo's horn. They run to the balcony and see Alan. The family gives up on Alan. The next morning, everbody is silent except Katherine who just keeps on talking. They tell Emily what has happened and she's shocked. When Alan arrives, he tries to explain himself but they cut him off. Note: Emily is involved in her own storyline with Lucky, Elizabeth and Nikolas about nude photographs. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 41 Part 41. AJ gathers the Q clan to go to Courtland Street so that they can confront Alan. The family can't believe he's still on drugs. Alan is in his secret apartment when Tammy arrives. Tammy wants to make sure Alan is ok before they do anything. Tammy has a bad feeling about this (Alan should listen to her). All the Q's except Lila get out of the limo to look for Alan. They bribe a low life to identify Alan and are directed to the apartment where Alan "lives". As Tammy relaxes Alan, the Q's end up outside his door and try to get Alan to open up. When he doesn't open the door, they argue about who will break the door down. When they finally get into the room, Tammy's there but there's no sign of Alan who is hiding on the balcony. Lila sees him from below. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 40 Part 40. Robin tries to convince Jason to help Alan but he refuses. Robin decides to tell AJ that Jason thinks Alan is still on drugs. The Quartermaines talk about Jason leaving the mob while Alan sits amongst them stoned. AJ heads to the garage where Jason is working to talk to Robin. AJ ends up talking to Jason about Michael and about Alan. He thinks Jason can make a difference to Alan but Jason doesn't want to have anything to do with them. AJ tells Jason that he's the most unforgiving person he's ever met in his life and Michael doesn't stand a chance with him and Carly. General Hospital - Oct 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 39 Part 39. Katherine abuses Reginald (remember, Katherine doesn't know that Reginald poisoned her canape a few years ago). Ned intercedes and rescues Reginald. Stefan comes to visit Katherine. Alan, full of drugs, greets Stefan and tells him he's ready to go back to work at the office. Later, Alan is in his office at GH using the phone to call his dealer. AJ listens outside and hears him making plans. He surprises Alan outside his office. Alan makes excuses and runs off to meet his dealer while AJ goes into Alan's office and copies down the phone number that Alan called. (Caller display?? General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 38 Part 38. AJ tells Monica not to get her hopes up with Jason. Monica is at Jason's visiting Michael. She finds out that Bobbie babysat Michael and offers to do the same. Jason tells her thanks but he doesn't plan on leaving Michael again. As they talk, Alan barges in with a plant in hand. Jason throws him out. Monica is furious with Alan and tries to apologize to Jason for Alan's intrusion. Jason makes Robin promise that she'll never let Alan, AJ or Edward near Michael because they're liars. (Editorial note: The biggest liar is Jason - lying to AJ and all the Quartermaines about who Michael's father is.) Back at the mansion, Monica and Alan have an all out fight about Jason and Alan's stupidity. AJ is suspicious. General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 37 Part 37. Alan is out of pills and is short tempered with Monica. Monica wants to be involved in his "recovery". Alan resists her efforts to help him. AJ comes in with news that Jason has disappeared. Alan, thinking the worse, nearly falls apart. They find out that Jason has left the mob and is setting up house with Robin and Michael in Brenda's cottage. Alan is elated and in his drug induced euphoria, thinks that Jason is coming home. He and AJ get into an argument where he accues AJ and Monica for all of his problems. Alan yells at everyone and leaves. Monica tries to convince AJ (and maybe herself) that Alan's mood swings are part of withdrawal. You can tell that AJ's not that convinced. General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 36 Part 36. Alan has his "mood" enhancer and is waiting for Tammy at his hideout so that he can test out the plumbing again. Alan talks to Tammy. Alan then asks Tammy to dance for him but just when things get interesting, he starts to have problems breathing. Tammy is terrified and wants to call 911 but Alan doesn't want to go to GH. Tammy takes him to the clinic where Tony is working. Alan becomes old Alan when he becomes jealous of Tony and Tammy. General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 35 Part 35. Alan's still continuing his charade of being in recovery and Monica is still believing him. Edward has called a meeting to introduce their new house guest, much to Monica's (and Reginald's) dismay... Katherine Bell. (Katherine had previously died by falling off the parapet at Windemere...only to be brought back to "life" by Helena). Monica is worried about Kathrine attracting "wall to wall Cassidines" which makes Emily pretty happy. Later, Monica tries to be close to Alan but Alan hesitates and Monica backs off. Alan calls his neighbourhood drug dealer looking for some chemical assistance. As Alan tries to rush off to meet him, Monica attempts to get close to Alan again. Again, he pulls back. Monica just wants him to talk to him. Note: I don't have the episodes that followed what happened to Justus but he's still working for Jason. Sorry...but it started to detract from Alan's drug addiction storyline so I decided not to follow it after Monica was out of the picture. General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 34 Part 34. Edward asks Justus what's going on. Justus apologizes to Edward for accusing him of maneuvering him with Damian's murder. Edward takes Justus in and pleads with him to leave Jason and get back to ELQ. He misses Justus. Justus tells him he can't come back. They both remember Mary Mae. Edward still thinks about her. Edward wants to be a part of his life again. A sad Edward listens to a Mary Mae song while Justus contemplates his future on the balcony of his penthouse. Dara, after having sex with Taggart, asks Taggart for a favour. Burn the tape. This clip contains one of my favourite Edward scenes. We sometimes forget that Justus is his grandson. This reinforces Edward as the patriarch of the Q's and he does love his family...even if he doesn't show it all the time. John Ingle rocks! General Hospital - Sept 1998 - Alan's Drug Addiction Part 33 Part 33. Bobbie and Monica worry about Carly's potential release. The grandmothers worry about Jason, Robin, Michael and Carly. Dara tells Justus to disappear, to leave while there's still time. Justus visits Laura to try to clear the air between them. He stands where Mary Mae's rose garden used to be and remembers his grandmother. He appologizes to Laura. Laura believes he's already paying for his crime. Dara visits Taggart and not for business. Laura tells Justus that it sounds like he's going away. Next, Justus visits Edward at the mansion. Edward reacts with hostility toward him but Justus says he's there to thank him. He doesn't know she's disgusted with herself for turning on Justus. Monica tries to reassure him that she isn't judging him. She almost gives herself up. Dara meets Justus at his penthouse. She tells him about the tape. Justus tells her what happened the night Damian Smith was killed. Bobbie reads a letter from Carly to Monica. Bobbie tells Monica that Carly is faking her insanity to get out of standing trial for murder. They worry about what would happen if she got out... what she'd do to Robin, Jason and Michael. Justus senses Monica's uneasiness in his company and thinks it's because she's disgusted about him killing Damian. Dara thinks Taggart is testing her. Unfortunately, the pills have stopped up the pipes so he's unable to perform. Alan returns home to an unsuspecting Monica and pretends to have been at a meeting of Narcotics Anonymous. Taggert tips Dara off that Justus has been caught on tape confessing to Damian's murder. She doesn't approve of Taggart threatening Monica and is apalled that Mac is supporting Taggart.
