Trainwreck sim in AxeFx My try at emulating a Trainwreck amp with my Axe-Fx standard. I'm using the AxeFx plugged via analog output straight into the PC's integrated soundcard line input. It's just the amp sim (wrecker1) + two cabs sims (4x12 V30 and 4x12 20) + a touch of small room reverb. No other pedals or effects. Drive is the natural drive from the amp sim. Axe-Fx Apache settings Still working on it, but quite close to the original sound already: Effects chain on the Axe-Fx: Compressor + ClassA Amp sim (Vox AC15) + Cab Sim (Brit 1x12) + Tape Drive + QuadTap delay Repetitions are still a lil' bit too long, but we could fix this in a jiffy with some minor tweaking. The important thing, that is, tone, is already (almost)there. Guitars: Raulin's Blade R2 with a set of Seymour Duncans SSL1, and Pancho's Edwards Strat with Fender Fat50s and custom neck. Apache starts at 4:35. Before, you can hear "Arrows of love" (by Henk "The Chief" Haanraads), "Farewell to Casablanca" and "Secrets of the sea", both by Lennart Clerwall. Damage Control Womanizer_Test 2 A few bluesy licks improvised on my Paula, Telly and Strat through my Damage Control Womanizer via Dunlop CryBaby direct into my computer's integrated sound card line in. No effects at all. The settings on the Womanizer are the same for all three guitars: Level: 3 o'clock Drive: full up Opto-Comp: full down Bionic EQ Freq: 1 o'clock Boost: 3 o'clock Bass: 1 o'clock Treble: 1 o'clock Nuclear switch engaged. Fender 'The Twin' (red knob) tone test 2 (really clean) This is just to showcase some of the tones you can get out of this versatile amp. In 100 watt mode the clean tone of this monster is gorgeously overtone loaded and cristal clear like mountain dew. Volume is at its lowest, but still the floor quakes. This time I used a condenser mic oriented to the amp but at about 2m distance, trying to capture the sound as really as possible, just what a normal listener would hear at the same distance. The guitar I'm using is my Aria FA-80. My playing didn't follow any pre-determined plan as I played what I came up with fully at random, not intending to play any particular tune. Anyway, the jazzy part is something I composed years ago. then I play my rendition of the intro part to 'stray cat strut' by the stray cats and by the end I play my rendition of the solo in 'I won't stand in your way' by the stray cats as well. The amp is in 25 watt mode, and this affects the clean tone - which turns into crunchy just by attacking the strings a lil'bit harder -. In 100 watt, mode the clean tone of this monster is gorgeously overtone loaded and cristal clear like mountain dew. At times I'm also using a Damage Control 'Liquid Blues' tube Class A overdrive Pedal, just to warm up the tubes a little bit (just as if they weren't warmed up enough...). The guitars I used were my '91 Blade R2 strat with Seymour Duncan SSL pickups, and my Edwards LP90-LTS Les Paul '59 Replica. My playing was not particularly 'musical', as I was improvising licks and chords, not intending to play any particular tune. There's an acoustic surprise at the end, for those of you patient enough to watch the whole video. Thanks for watching, mates! Damage Control "Solid Metal" I improvise a few riffs and licks using a Damage Control "Solid Metal". This is a Tube Distortion Pedal of the wildest kind... Wow, dudes... this pedal really makes a high gain monster out of a low-watt sweetie-bluesy Fender amp, while you don't lose that gorgeous clean fender tone when the pedal is not engaged thanks to its real True-Bypass. The guitar used is an Edwards LP90-LTS, a replica of the 59' Standard Les Paul. The stock pickups are Seymour Duncans SH1n (neck) and SH4 (bridge). Damage Control Womanizer Este es mi primer test del Womanizer de Damage Control. Es una herramienta para grabación de guitarra, a la vez que un pedal overdrive. Se basa en una circuitería a válvulas, Clase A. El test no es particularmente "musical", es más que nada para que se aprecie como reacciona el Womanizer al toque, al ataque y para que veais como se puede ir modificando el sonido mediante la manipulación de los controles. Para alterar lo menos posible la señal no he usado efectos, salvo la adición de algo de reverb a partir de aproximadamente la mitad del video. How to replace the battery... ...from a Behringer pedal. This pedal is the real deal, trust me, bang for buck... soundwise is quite the same as the boss CS3, only 4X cheaper. The only drawback is that this one is made of plastic, but you could buy a DYI metal chassis ($5), put the electronics of this pedal inside and then you'd have a replica of the CS3 for less than $30.
