Home made télécaster relic 60 I was dreamin' for a long time of a sea foam green telly but except the custom shop, there is no afordable model in that color.I wanted a real sixtie télé like steve cropper, more on the soul side than the country twang.That is why i have choosen the seymour duncan alnico pro II ; sweet télé sound as seymour describes those pickups.It sound pretty cool, some would say it is too dark for a télé but i can' t stand ice picky fréquencies. fender Mex. : the real Mc Coy i wanted to test those two strat mex.There are both called " classic series" : an affordable version of AMV serie.I began to play on those machines and can't forget how natural they sound even if i play now some "big" models from fender. So it is a tribute : there is absolutely no upgrade, it is the plain production of ensenada. (amplification : Fender deluxe reverb RI 65 and TS 808, slightly distorded.) clean strat texas specials for those who want to know how texas specials PUs sound on clean sound. This is a lonestar strat ( refinish pink ) with heavy gauge strings (12,52) and very high action because it is my slide axe. It is tuned in open G so i just solo on the three strings similar to standard tuning, that is why it is hard to make variations ( plus, bends are sometime out of tune cause i am not use to heavy gauge) ... THE TELECASTER PROJECT : Part 3, heavy relic process MORE PI a better definition on the clip in order to see more détails. this not the joe strummer signature, this is the "rhum 66 signature", but it looks as beatin' up and worn as the clash ' guitarist model. Whish i could one day visit the custom shop in fender factory, especially the paintings and varnish dept. there is no clip of the real process; all i can say is that it was real close to the "monterey performance" by hendrix ... After there was a real hard work to go back to a hard worn lok and design. I call this télé the " Ruin telecaster". a question to all of you guys : what is your advice for good vintage pickups ? please give ask my question.
