WQRZ-LP Radio survives Hurricane Katrina Brice Philips the founder of WQRZ 103.5 in Bay Saint Louis/ Waveland Mississippi was one of the remaining forms of communication after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the gulf coast. With the use of HAM Radio and Broadcast FM (103.5) his was able to provide emergency information to the rescue workers and the public when all other forms of communication were down.
