It is a shame to put forward a similar project, since partial detachments or even a total collapse of the temple have not been considered. Any collapse of the building would be a danger for the construction workers and/or visitors - the outcome could be fatal. The building is declared Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO. But we would also like to mention that this is not the only building by Gaudí that is affected by the construction work, since the Milà House is in the tracing of the tunnel. Other celebrated buildings of the Catalan modernism, a singular farmhouse of the XIVth century, a refuge of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and two archaeological deposits, are affected as well, not to mention hundreds of housings of worried citizens living close to the Expiatori Temple of the Sagrada Familia. L'acte també ha servit per protestar pel traçat del TGV pel centre de Barcelona. La plataforma Per un Bon Traçat de l'AVE ha aprofitat la celebració del 125è aniversari de la posada de la primera pedra de la Sagrada Família per protestar pel traçat de l'AVE al seu pas per Barcelona. En total, ha congregat prop d'un miler de persones i han aconseguit ballar una sardana, "La santa espina", que envoltava tot el temple de la Sagrada Família. Un dels líders de la plataforma convocant ha assegurat que "hi ha una administració que no sabem per quina raó diu que tot està a punt, però des del poder, des del Ministeri de Foment, s'han proposat molt recentment altres traçats alternatius". "Això ha passat fa quinze dies, per tant no poden dir que tot està ja decidit", ha assegurat aquest líder veïnal en un acte que ha resultat un èxit de convocatòria. La sardana ballada al voltant del temple modernista ha volgut simbolitzar l'especial protecció que necessita la Sagrada Família, principal atracció turística de Barcelona i que veurà el túnel passar pels carrers Provença i Mallorca, molt a prop de l'obra més coneguda d'Antoni Gaudí.
